    Fort George National Historic Site

    Reconstructed in the 1930s, Fort George historically served as the British Headquarters for southern Ontario in the War of 1812. From May to November each year, the Fort, comprised of eight restored buidlings, relives it's history through re-enactments and staff in period dress. Gift shop on site, orientation films, group tours and educational programmes available.

    McFarland House and Tea Room

    Take a tour of this beautifully restored Georgian home, then relax and enjoy fresh baked scones with tea. Once used as a hospital during the War of 1812, this site features a period herb garden, picnic pavilion and playground.

    Laura Secord Homestead

    Visit the home of Laura Secord, heroine of the War of 1812. This brave woman walked 32 km (20 miles) through enemy lines to warn the British forces of an impending attack. Today, costumed interpreters recount her adventures in this restored building. Ice cream shop adjacent to homestead serves light refreshments.
